My Story

My journey into psychology began in my 20s when I discovered my deep passion for helping others. From the start, I was drawn to understanding the complexities of the human mind and how I could make a meaningful difference in people's lives. With a background in psychological testing and academic assessments, I honed my expertise in providing clear, compassionate evaluations. Over time, this passion grew into a mission: to offer people the insights and support they need to navigate their challenges and thrive.

Professional Background

  • I earned my MS in 2004 and my PhD in 2006 from Alliant International University in San Diego, CA. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider (CIMHP), and an ADHD Specialist (ADHD-CCSP).

  • I specialize in psychological assessments for adults, adolescents, and children, diagnosing conditions such as ADHD, Learning Disorders, Autism/ASD, and Academic Evaluations.

  • I am a former Adjunct Faculty at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and certified to provide supervision to unlicensed therapists in Washington and Minnesota.

  • I am licensed in Washington, Oregon, and Minnesota and hold a PSYPACT license. I provide in-person evaluations in Issaquah, WA, and Bend, OR, and telehealth evaluations in Minnesota and other PSYPACT states.

  • I was honored to be named one of The Seattle Times' Best in the PNW in both 2023 and 2024.

On a Personal Note

I’m originally from Minnesota and spent over a decade in California before moving to Washington, where I’ve lived for 15 years with my husband and family. I founded Dr. Fischer Psychology in 2019 to focus fully on psychological evaluations, offering a personalized approach to meet each individual’s needs. After seeing a need for these services in Bend, OR, I opened a second office to serve that community.

Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, reading, and practicing yoga. I believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and I encourage my clients to pursue what brings them joy.
