Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects focus, impulse control, and behavior. What to Expect During Your ADHD Evaluation
First Appointment
Conducted via telehealth, this session lasts about one hour. During this time, we will discuss your symptoms and how they’ve affected your daily life. We will also gather relevant background information, including any concerns you may have.
Second Appointment
This in-person appointment at the Bend, OR office lasts about two hours. We’ll work one-on-one to conduct various activities and assessments, including completing questionnaires that will help clarify your ADHD symptoms.
Third Appointment
Conducted via telehealth, we’ll review the assessment report, discuss the diagnosis, and go over recommendations for next steps and a treatment plan.

Make sure to get a good night’s sleep and eat a nourishing breakfast before the evaluation. Avoid sugary or high-carb foods, as they can leave you feeling sluggish. If you’re taking medications for ADHD, please contact your prescribing physician for guidance about taking them on the morning of the evaluation.

It’s normal to feel a bit anxious before an evaluation. Dr. Fischer will do her best to ensure that you feel comfortable throughout the process and will check in regularly to see if you need a break.
